Daddy's Surprise Cake

Since we couldn't get to his surprise cake on his actual birthday, we brought it out today!

And here's Jeric and Zoë enjoying the cake!

And yup, we're totally using a stool as a makeshift table. Our couch and dining table are still pending delivery.

Happy Birthday Jeric/Dada!

Surprise Dinner!

Alex and Jonah coordinated such a cute surprise dinner to celebrate Baby Diego, Mommy Gen and Mommy Gen's upcoming birthday!

They had dinner reservations at La Parolaccia Osteria. It's a quaint Italian restaurant over in Long Beach. I had to rush straight over after work so that I could make it there before Alex and Gen arrive, which I totally did.

While waiting for them to arrive, we all just hung out and chatted. We were kinda in the middle of convo when Gen arrived haha. So I missed her facial reaction, but I did see that she was super surprised.

We all perused the menu for awhile and then when our waitress came by and gave us suggestions and told us which dishes were highly rated or restaurant favs, we ALL changed our minds. Hahaha.

I originally wanted the Fettuccine alla Marchigiana or Gnocchi al Gorgonzola Dolce, but ended up with the Bomboni Con Salciccia E Tartufo. The Fettuccine is regular Fettuccine with chicken breast, broccoli and sun-dried tomatoes and the Gnocchi al Gorgonzola Dolce is a potato dumplings dish in a creamy gorgonzola sauce with peas, cherry tomatoes and fresh arugula.

The Bomboni Con Salciccia E Tartufo is one of the restaurants top dishes and it definitely did NOT disappoint. In fact, we did table share and passed around our dishes and everyone else thought it was delicious too. It's basically a rigatoni dish with pancetta, crumbled sausage, pepper, arugula, and shaved black truffle in a pecorino and evoo sauce. Yum-MY! Sorry, no pic, but maybe you can spot it way at the end of our group shot. Haha.

Fun times with everyone! And so glad we got to celebrate Gen and baby Diego.

Heart Shaped Ice Cream Sandwiches

Totally wanted to surprise Jeric with some Heart Shaped Ice Cream Sandwiches today. They turned out aite.

I just took Nestle Cookie Dough and tried to roll it out as flat as I could and then ended up using a Playdoh Heart Cutter to cut out hearts. At this point, you're supposed to freeze the cookie dough for about 10 minutes prior to baking. This firms up the dough to keep it from becoming a buncha blobs. Sadly, no room in the freezer or even the fridge. So, yah, some of them came out into blobs.

None-the-less, I was able to find a few good pieces to make my cookies.

For the ice cream, you would take your fav flavor of ice cream and scoop it out into backing pans and flatten it all out. Then, refreeze it. When cookies are cool enough, use the same cookie cutter to cut out the same shapes!

Then, place it onto the cookie!

Tada!

Also, the cookies were overcooked. But that's because, against my better judgement, I left them in there for a few minutes too long.

Still, he liked the cookie sammich! Yummy!

Roses Are Red, Yes That's True...

I'm not really a fan, unless they're from you! Haha. My single red rose from the hubsters.

And at work today, I indulged on tons of sweets that I could not resist.

Valentine's Day donut, cupcake, and cookies.

And when we got home, Zoë got a surprise too! She got chocolates from Ninang Liz and Ninong Marky!

Celebrating Geoff's Birthday

I headed out without the baby to celebrate Geoff's Birthday. J ended up not going because he wanted one of us to stay home with the baby and suggest I go instead of him. We did try to get him to go, but he stayed with the Zoesters.

Anyhow, we headed over to The Venue, which was a spot in Korea Town. Liz drove with Marky, Ivan, Patrick and me. It was a surprise and when the birthday showed up, we all ordered our food and some dranks. While waiting for our food to arrive, the gals took advantage and took a girly pic.

Then came the yummy food. I ordered the Short Ribs and Sesame Lobster Toast. Both were really delicious, but the Short Ribs had bone in. Yah, totally didn't make it easy to eat.

After dinner, we all made our way to a huge Karaoke room in the back

Jeric ran errands over at Target for us and came home with a Tsum Tsum surprise for Zoë!

These ones are so freaking cute cause they're covered in Pixie Dust!

Mommy tried to stack them...

...but the Zoë Monster wasn't having any of that. Hahaha!

Purple Feetsies

Soo, I totally had to make J's Father's Day gift in the car. It's just Zoë's cute foot stamped on a canvas! I also tried making little hearts with her tiny fingers, but that was kinda hard since she kept fidgeting. Plus we were totally doing this in the back seat of my car. Hahaha. Of course, I'm posting this well after Father's Day, so no spoilers at least. Or so I thought. J ended up finding these pictures on my phone before Father's Day. DOH!

Anyhow, check out her purple feetsies!

She did have a lot of fun with her fingers all painted too.

Oh, and I was so at the parking lot of 99 Ranch because I was in charge of picking up snacks for our road trip tomorrow. I was hungry too. LOL. Never send a hungry girl to buy snacks, because she'll buy the whole store! Hahaha.

I came out with Pocky Sticks, Rice Crackers, Yan Yans, Shrimp Crackers, Chicharon, Seaweed Animal Crackers, and Asian Crackers. This is actually what I ended up with after putting a bunch of other stuff back. I probably had almost double this. LMAO!

Tummy Aches Suck

Zoë had the most horrible tummy ache while pooping today. She was just way to constipated. It was so sad. So I had J run over to Target and grab some things that would help baby girl. The homies gave some really good advice. Cut the bananas, give her daily probiotics and have some prune purée for the bad days.

Ivan was with him and surprised her with a new toy! Thank you Ninong!
