Another Cute Work Patio

Found another cute work patio! This one is bigger and a bit hidden within large planters that had tall plants.

This is probably my favorite spot to eat at. The building we're in also has free guest wifi so I can chill with my laptop while chowing down.

There are a ton of cute lunch patio spots to eat at over at work. This one, is just a small little section right outside our office door and where I had lunch today.

Office Mascot

The owners have been bringing their other dog, a Vizla, to the office lately and now that we're in the new office, he has even more room to lounge around.

He's a pretty big dog, but he's super friendly. And here he is sleeping a few feet behind me.

Office w/ a View

The company I work for had to move offices because the owner of the lease that we were at needed the space back to run her lab. So, we were in a crunch and had to find a spot soon. Luckily, the founders new someone that had a huge office space that was barely being used.

So, within the last few weeks, it's been prepped and moved into. Today, administration officially moved in and look. I have an awesome view!

Dark Chocolate Covered Blueberries

Got these delicious chocolate bites from Costco to help satisfy my daily chocolate cravings and since Jeric and Zoë didn't like them, I took the whole bag to work.

Makes for a perfect pick-me-up sweet snack.

Remote Workin' at Playpie

I requested to work remote today since Jeric gets off work early. Jeric got of at 11:00 am and headed home. I decided, it would be nice for us to take Zoë to Playpie finally. I called to see if they have free Wifi and they do! Score! So I worked while Jeric watched Zoë play!

Definitely an awesome place to take your kiddos and perfect place for me to work remote with Zoë. She had fun and I worked straight through on an actual table.

Zoë at the Office

Jeric gets off early today so I took Zoë to the office for a little bit. It was really just for an hour, so not that long really.

I made sure to grab some lunch for her, pack activities and have my phone charged.

She had McDonald's and then colored in her coloring book while watching Netflix with my Airpods.

That kept her quiet and calm for a good while. Of course, she also had a few sass remarks when I told her to keep her voice down, which made my co-workers crack up.

Thankfully, before she started to get too comfortable and wild out, Daddy picked her up! Hahaha. It was fun with her here, but I wouldn't know how to keep her entertained AND get my work done.

The owners brought over their little doggy to work today. When they went out for lunch, the left him with me and at first, he was anxiously waiting for them to come back, but eventually he snuggled up next to me.

Final Days at UniversalDx

Today's pretty much my final several days at Universal Dx Lab. Everyone pretty much knows they're going to tank soon. We've seen the last few lay offs go through. And we heard that the only team really necessary was the billing team to push last minute claims through. There really hasn't been any work for client services at all. But, we were all holding on while waiting for better opportunities.

Anyhow, client services has the total, IDGF attitude. We come in, do only what MUST be done and just chill!

Today's chill includes coffee from BLK Dot!

Gave me energy to sit here and do nothing. Hahahaha.

Boss' Dinner with Co-Workers

Well, my boss submitted his two weeks notice at the end of March and he wanted to treat his awesome team for dinner.

We all decided on Cha Cha's out in the Tustin Marketplace.

Since this is the start to a sad goodbye to our kick ass team, we started off with drinks. I ordered myself the large Sangria.

My boss and our co-worker, Diana, both ordered a large Margarita and my other co-worker, Edgar, got himself a Martini. He was jelly though when he saw our large glasses. Hahaha.

With drinks on the table, we all started reminiscing about the good ol' days at work. Our boss, JJ, even let us read his resignation letter. He basically dropped the mic, but professionally. He called out people who needed to be and gave proper thanks to those that did their best to keep the company up and running.

Then our food came out and we all enjoyed, food, drinks and good company. The Enchiladas were all 50% off for their happy hour special, so that's what everyone ordered.

All of us, except JJ, ordered the Shrimp and Crab Enchilada.

He ordered the Three Enchilada Combination, which basically had one Shrimp and Crab, one Chicken and one Cheese.

This was a sad goodbye to our team, but we said we'd all keep in touch and meet up every now and then too. Because we basically were co-workers turned friends.

Co-worker bought the group some sea salt caramel coffee from 85 degrees! Ooooooh yah!

Breakfast Served

Today's yummy breakfast, Sues Vide Egg Bites and a Cold Brew from Starbucks.

The cold brew's healthy, but the egg bites, not so much. Still, both were delicious. I'd want to eat these egg bites every freaking morning!

Susie's Official Last Day

We surprised Susie at the old lab for her very last day. They still process a few samples out there since we have the lease agreement until March. They just moved all the office personnel to the new location to get ahead of the game.

Anyhow, here we all are for her last day.

We even got a surprise visit and show from Rommel, our IT guy!

Healthy Snacks

Got a ton of health snacks for work! My team members also are into eating healthy so we all pitch in for our department snacks.

We got hummus, sea salt popcorn, crackers and cheese dip packs, pita chips, pork rinds (yah, this one's not too healthy, but I'd only have like one piece every now and then), cold brew coffee, water and sparkling water.

Lunch Date - Susie's Leaving Us

Had a lunch date with a bunch of co-workers since Susie, the accessioning manager, is leaving us.

We decided on Ra Sushi out here in Tustin. I didn't want to order a huge thing and, of course, wanted something healthy.

I ended up ordering their Chirashi Poke, which is tuna, salmon, yellowtail and shrimp with cucumber, avocado and green onion in poke sauce, topped with seaweed salad and sesame seeds. It comes with rice, but I ended up substituting that for a salad instead.

It was super delish, but dang, I wish I had double the servings of fish.

Office Window Deco

Since our team (consisting of a whole two people) get our own office, we didn't have cubicles anymore. That meant, I needed to find a new spot for my deco.

Guess the window sill works!

Healthy Snacks

Gotta make sure I have good healthy snacks while at work. No more donuts, pastries, or baked goods. Also, our new office that we just moved into has no water! Time to hit up the grocery store nearby.

Came back with two large Life Water bottles, Good Thins The Beet One and a Double Chocolate Protein Cookie.

Goodbye Dinner

Went out for a few drinks and dinner with co-workers to say byeee to Janessa. She's leaving our team :(

We started with a few drinks at the boss' apartment and then headed to Red O for delicious food and pitchers of Margaritas.
