Final Days at UniversalDx

Today's pretty much my final several days at Universal Dx Lab. Everyone pretty much knows they're going to tank soon. We've seen the last few lay offs go through. And we heard that the only team really necessary was the billing team to push last minute claims through. There really hasn't been any work for client services at all. But, we were all holding on while waiting for better opportunities.

Anyhow, client services has the total, IDGF attitude. We come in, do only what MUST be done and just chill!

Today's chill includes coffee from BLK Dot!

Gave me energy to sit here and do nothing. Hahahaha.

Sea Salt Caramel Coffee, Yummmmm

Co-worker bought the group some sea salt caramel coffee from 85 degrees! Ooooooh yah!

Great way to start our morning!

New Cute Stationary

I hit-up Daiso yesterday for a new notebook and came home with that and a few other cute things.

From left to right: Popsicle Cord Cover, Bear Stickers, Small Square Note Sheets, Washi Tape, Multi-Colored Pen w/ Lead Pencil, Pink Notebook and a Cat Case to put everything in. I thought my notebook would fit along with it, but nope, it couldn't even fit on it's own.

I also made myself Mac N Cheese in a mug at work today. Despite having the water overflow 3 times in the microwave, it cooked! And it was so yummy!

Halfway through the day, Janessa, brought us all iced coffee from 7 Leaves. Definitely needed some of that good stuff!

Cool New Starbucks Cups

My co-worker owed me a Starbucks, so he picked some up today. I was curious as to how the cold brews were and saw that they had a Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew!

Anyhow, when I got it, was like whoa! There's a new cup/lid at Starbucks.

As for the drink itself, definitely tasty! Buuuuut, I only had a donut for breakfast and after only sipping probably an eigth of it, the caffeine started hitting me hard.

LOL! I spotted this on my co-workers desk this morning.

Hahaha. Breakfast like a pro. Take a sip of coffe and bite the donut below. Rofl.

Brunch Time

I wanted to go out for brunch today. Also wanted to find a new spot. We headed to Euro Cafe out in Coasta Mesa. We also missed brunch, but it's coo, it served everything I wanted.

First thing I ordered? Nutella Latte! Look how pretty! It was pretty darn delicious too.

For brunch, I got me the Spartan Snack, which was a pretty yummy waffle sandwich. It has grilled chicken, smoked bacon, spinach and melted swiss. As for the sauce, it was a spicy maple sauce. I had to have it on the side though because I wanted Zoë to be able to have some. That spicy maple sauce definitely made the sandwich.

Zoë eventually had enough of the waffle sandwich and sitting in the cafe so her and Dada walked around the plaza while Mommy sat and savored the rest of the waffle sandwich and sipped on the delicous latte.

Dada and Zoë even had a cute mini photo shoot!

Good Use for Spare Candy Canes

Got a ton of spare candy canes left over from Christmas? Use them in coffee drinks for your personal version of a Peppermint Mocha drink or Peppermint Latte. So delicious!

Breakfasting at a New Spot

Time for us to breakfast! We were pretty starving today, so I went on good ol' Yelp to see what was around us and found this lovely spot, Cafe Casse Croute. The photos and reviews were making my mouth water. So, it was decided!

For starters, I got myself a cup of Reverse Drip Cafe Du Monde Coffee.

Pretty interesting, this reverse drip is. Basically, the creamers on the bottom and they drip the coffee into it. As for the Coffee itself. Too bitter. I still can't handle the bitterness of coffee. I'm definitely no Coffee Connoisseur. Lol.
Now onto the food!

I ordered myself the Crab Cake Benedict, which was meh. J actually thought it way too fishy, which it probably was. But I love me some Eggs Benedict, so I didn't notice.

J ordered the Red Velvet Waffle, which looks super delicious, but sadly it didn't taste how it looked. It was overcooked and kinda tough. Not doughy and delicious like it should be. It did come with eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes though. Which were good enough sides to be a whole meal for Zoë.

Zoë certainly enjoyed the view of all the dishes! She was also anticipating the deliciousness of the red velvet waffle. Just check her out totally eyeing it! Hahaha.

Give Good - Starbucks

Got me a drank at Starbucks today! They have the holiday menu, so I definitely had to have some kind of peppermint coffee concoction.

And look at their cute cups!

They made these for the holiday so that you can color them yourself. I actually washed it out too and saved the cup for Zoë, but someone tossed it away. :(
