Crafts and Dessert for Valentine's Day

It's time to make something yummy for dada! Whatcha think the little baker's gonna make, cupcakes or a cake?

While we wait for the cake or cupcakes to bake, it's time to craft!

Little girl is hard at work.

Stay tuned for Zoë's baked surprise and all her deco.

DIY Paper Hibiscus Flowers

Zoë's having a Moana themed birthday party at the beach this year so I went looking around for ideas on cheap deco that'll survive the hot heat at the beach. I saw really pretty paper flowers all over Pinterest and found a free template. Then, I went to my mom's and found my good ol' Cricut machine. I was able to get all my cuts all done!

Now, I get to work on assembling them together and hoping they turn out cute enough!

Here's the first one.. and it's looking really cute!

And after a full evenings worth of gluing petals and leaves, I finally finished them all!

So excited to see how these look!

Downtown Disney Fun

We wanted to walk around Downtown Disney today just to hang out and chill for a bit. Zoë was excited to see all the cute deco they had up. I also loved the whole deconstructed Disney character displays that they had.

The abstract deconstructed Disney characters needed to have the photos snapped at the perfect angle to make the character whole again.

Afterwards, we were hungry so we hit up good ol' Denny's so we can have breakfast for dinner! I got myself an omelet and Jeric got pancakes with eggs and sausages to share with Zoë.

Office Supply Deco

I got a few new notebooks for the office and wanted a cute way to display them so that they're also easily accessible whenever a phone call comes through or just for the start of my morning.

That's when I got the idea to use the giant clothespin deco.

I stood it horizontally, clipped one of the notebooks within the clip part of the clothespin and then just stood the other notebook in the opening end of the clothespin. My lead pencil also perfectly fit within the spring coil that keeps the clothespin shut.

Tada!

Cute, right?

I also stuck my Disney pin magnets onto the metal part of the coil and of course, dropped Heimlich right on top.

I'm really in love with how I put this all together.

Office Window Deco

Since our team (consisting of a whole two people) get our own office, we didn't have cubicles anymore. That meant, I needed to find a new spot for my deco.

Guess the window sill works!

Disney Valentine's Day

Heard that there's new deco for Valentine's Day at Disneyland, so we had to check it out.

This was also the first weekend with perfect Disney weather. So everyone and their mom was over there! We decided to just park at Downtown Disney. We were buying something anyways, so we would get at least 3 hours free parking. Which was more than enough with Zoë.

We were also pretty hungry, so we grabbed food over at Earls.

After eating, we were about to make our way to Disneyland, but saw these cute window images for Mickey's birthday.

Zoë instantly gravitated towards Minnie Mouse's of course!

And now Disneyland!

The front entrance had hearts all around the Mickey Face right when you get in. A bit cheesy looking, but does make for nice pictures.

The lamp posts still had banners for Mickey's birthday.

Then, we saw that Minnie Mouse had a really cute spring outfit on. Sadly, though, they closed the line for photos with her. Whelp, guess we gotta go with the Goofster.

As for the actual Valentine's deco, they had these around the Main Street entrance, which they've had every Valentine's.

Also, some very pretty spring flowers.

One of the newest additions is this cute structure.

Aaaaand, that's pretty much it.

Zoë wanted to ride Dumbo. We headed over there and were waiting for our return time. Of course, she saw the cotton candy cart and wanted one. She got one and was so happy!

And here were are on Dumbo! It was just me and her because Daddy fears he'll get vertigo again.

We decided to hit up Toontown today too. The Jolly Trolley was empty and begging for passengers, so we hopped right on.

We also saw that Donald was over at his boat, so we went over to stop and say Hi!

Now for the fun part. We coaxed Zoë to give Gadget's Go Coaster since she was of height. And, well, we forgot how fast it went! Annnnd that the first drop was actually pretty scary for a kiddo. Even worse, they gave us the back seat!

Poor baby. She put her hands up while we were going up, but once we dropped, so did her face. And right before the end, she was literally about to cry. Thank goodness it was over before she full on balled. Guess this ride is a no go now too.

We felt bad and had to make her feel better so we said we'll get her ice cream and a new toy.

Here's her ice cream!

Other than the roller coaster, Zoë had a blast today!

Halloween Work Deco

My co-worker's started decorating their cubes for Halloween and I wanted to too. Buuut, when I went out shopping for deco, I realized I didn't really want to spend a ton. Target had super cute things, but man, they weren't really a bargain. $10 for one cute medium sized pumpin. Yah, no thanks. I did find me a really cute $1 fabric pumpin though. I mean, looks really easy to make myself, except I'd have to buy the stem. Anyways, I bought that. Haha. I figured, oh well, 1 pumpkin is enough.

Anyhow, when I got in this morning, our department area was all decorated! So cool. One of our team members brought extra deco and another decorated all our cubes. Check out the cute deco.

And here's my addition... of my cute pumpkin.
