Desserts and Cuddles

Had a little dessert date with the Zoesters. We had some yummy ensymada.

And then afterwards, it was time for baby cuddles!

It was really nice and sunny when I picked up Zoë today. And since I had to return something at Nordstrom's, I thought we'd hit up the Spectrum after getting Zoë from my brother's house.

When we got there, Zoë had some fun twirling around in front of the water fountain.

After our quick stop at Nordstroms for the return, we checked out the Hello Kitty Café because there was absolutely no one there. Even the store clerk said it was unnatural. But, hey, worked out best for us!

Zoë admired the window view of donut making first.



She also did a little shopping.

And finally scoped out the desserts!

We had a fun, girly mommy and me date!

Homies for the Holidays

Time for our annual Homies Christmas get-together. It's great that we can get to spend the holidays with everyone.

This year, we spent it at the Mejia's.

We all spent the night catching up, eating, chatting and eating some more. We all brought filipino dishes and desserts. I had to say, the espasol was thee best, hands down! Although, the Ginataang Bilo-Bilo was pretty much all gone too.

Meanwhile, all the kiddos played together in Weston's room and the living room. And Zoë was good on her own! She hardly looked for me. Only every now and then did she call out for me. I just showed face and she was back off to playing again. She even got comfy enough to belt out "Let it goooooo, let it goooooo!" in the living room. Hahaha.

The kiddos also had their own gift exchange and it was so cute because they were all so shy in handing over and receiving their gifts. Lol!

More Disney Holiday Fun

Went to Disney today to try and get some Santa photos. While Jeric and Zoë waited in line, I went to get us some line passes. On my way to the green umbrellies, I couldn't help but snap these adorable photos of the drummer boys all around.


When I got back, they were still in line. Zoë was sitting up top one of the stone pillars and she looked so adorable.

The deco on the pillar was pretty too, so couldn't stop myself from snapping a photo of that too.

While walking towards Buena Vista St, I spotted this awesome Mickey Head Poinsettia!

I totally want one of these displayed at our future house during the Holidays. Hahaha.

Before heading over to Disneyland we hung out near the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe where Zoë picked out a sweet treat. She ended up with a Minnie Mouse Caramel Apple.


We then saw Donald and she wanted a picture so we got in line. Of course, these tourists took FOR-EVEEEEER! And it wasn't the photos they took with Donald that was upsetting. It was the pictures that the had him take with their stuff animals. Yah, no people, just their stuffed animals. That ended up taking far too long and I can't believe the workers!! They stopped allowing anyone to take photos with Donald normally right when it was Zoë's turn. They only allowed Donald to go down the line quickly and take selfie's. She a TODDLER!!!!! She doesn't know how to take a selfie. He just hugged her real quick and went down the line. The family behind us also had a really young toddler and were just as upset as us. Way to go DISNEY!!!! Breaking kids heart is your M.O. these days. Like, are you serious? You allow photos with a stuffed animal and then turn away toddlers? I just don't get it.

Anyhow, here is the only pic we got that day.

And right after Donald hugged her and went to the next kiddo. Zoë just stood there staring after him.

Well, that was that. Off to Disneyland! And another photo opp in front of the tree. She posed this time too! Hahaha.

We then hung out for a bit and watched the Dapper Dan's perform some holiday tunes.

And now it's time for Dinner!

Brea Mall Fun

We wanted a chill day so we headed out to Brea Mall. Zoë was craving a cookie so we stopped by Mrs. Fields. Of course, when we got there, she picked a cupcake cookie instead! She sure loved all the frosting on top though. Hahaha. I don't think she took more than a bite of the actual cookie.

We then visited Kelly's Cookies where she had fun with their display props.

Of course, can't stop by Brea Mall without a visit to the pet store!

Hello Kitty Cakes

After our fun time in The Bow Room, we were lucky to have the café area pretty empty. We've been told that lines are still typically 2 hours long! So, thank you rain! You helped us out.

Here's a few shots of the counter area with display cases of all there cute goodies.


Of course, I had to get something for Zoë!

She was definitely happy to see her present!

She took a look at all the different cake goodies.

Not the best pictures, but here she is with her first one. She picked the Hello Kitty cake, which was white cake covered in white chocolate and deco made from fondant.

The next morning called for more goodies!

Zoë was looking forward to eating more of these pretty little cakes.

She ate Kerropie first. Haha.

Blackball Desserts

When we had Boas Hog for dinner yesterday, I saw that we were in the plaza that has Blackball. This Taiwanese dessert spot that Liz also introduced us too. We were way too full after dinner though, so decided not to grab any.

Today though, I decided to take Zoë with me to grab some.

Outside of the store was an awesome angel wing mural that I could not resit to snap a photo of Zoë in front of. Of course she thought it was funny to pose like this.

As for our dessert, here it is!

The base is basically grass jelly and it's warmed up. Then, I added in my favorite toppings. An order of rice balls, an order of sesame rice balls and then an order of nata de coco. Dee lish!
