Coachella..Day 3 - I didn't make it

After are super crazy night, everyone woke up for brunch with Auntie Roma! She took us all out to a restaurant within the resort.

Before we headed out, we took a few photos together.

For brunch.. I had good ol' Eggs Benedict.

After brunch and hanging out with everyone for awhile. I made the decision to not go out to Day 3 and to head back home. Christian was generous enough to offer to drive me home and then he headed back and the guys still made it out to the last night.

Last Hoorah in Palm Springs

It's our last morning in Palm Springs and we're heading out for brunch before heading home.

We went to this super chic spot located within Parker Palm Springs, Normaa's. The decor in Parker Palm Springs was super cute.

Here's a cute lounge room that had sections all themed differently, but still meshing together well.

The lounging area had this awesome spot highlighting DRUGS. Lol.

Brunch was delicious, but of course, no pics! Hahaha. Afterwards, we totally had this bar all to ourselves!

Also, couldn't resist these cute animals that were hanging around the area.

And vacay is officially over. But that's okay. I miss my baby girl and the hubby!

Storyteller's Cafe Birthday Brunch

It's my birfday!

Starting it off with a delicious brunch over at Storyteller's Cafe.

Honestly, the food seems way better here than over at Goofy's Kitchen.


This spot is definitely super under rated. Which is great for us! That means less people, which means the characters visit us far more often than over at Goofy's Kitchen. Zoë definitely had a blast with all the visits.

The ending was real cute too because Dale walked Zoë out and then kept peeking over as we walked away. Zoë kept turning around to catch glimpses too. So adorable!

Maegan's Bachelorette Planning Brunch

All the girls met up over at Chapter One in Santa Ana for a brunch so that we can plan Maegan's Bachelorette party.

While waiting for everyone to arrive, the few that were there already just chatted along. And for a moment it was just me and Maegan. And this old guy came over to us and asked us for our names. He's an accordion player/singer and swears he's seen us before. Little did we know, our names were going to be used quite frequently as he sang to the crowd.

Anyhow, back to brunch! We all started off with some drinks. You know... priorities and all.

I got the Schnozberry Mule, which is a rendition of the Moscow Mule, which they're famous for. Warning, their Moscow Mules are extremely gingery! Still, I liked my drink.

As for food, the table ordered 3 plates of Duck Fat Fries!

Delicious, yes, but nothing spectacular.

For my meal, I really wanted the Sisiglog, but they were all out. Booo! I ended up with the Tapsilog, which was aite. It's basically soy marinade beef, a bowl of sinigang soup, 2 fried eggs and garlic rice. And thanks to Maegs, I had vinegar!

Maegan always orders the Fried Chicken Waffle and she gave me a bite to try. It was definitely something I'd order next time!

The brunch was fun, but it was kinda hard for us all to plan because that musician dude was playing music and it was really loud in there. But we managed!

Can't wait for Vegas!

Meanwhile... on the other side of town, Zoë was enjoying some fun time with Dada. Oh, she also requested to wear a dress today! I was going to put leggings and a cute top on her when she said, "No Mama, I want a dress." Such a girly girl!

They ended up eating at McDonalds and then walking around Brea Mall.

Brunch Spot

The four of us opted out of today's day festivities. Our day outfits were whatever cute summery dress we had. Didn't get a pic of that one though, since we were separated from everyone else. We just weren't up to the plantation tour or the beach. An and her friends wanted to head out to the beach and An's sisters were thinking of still heading out for the plantation tour. A few of An's friends also ended up somewhere else. They had planned to meet their old professor. We did hear that An's sisters also ended up over at the beach with An. Bummer, oh well.

We ended up at this brunch spot that had an awesome brunch buffet. They even had cheap glasses of Mimosas! I got me a plate of sausage, bacon, eggs, a biscuit, and grits. Yummmm! Also got soe smoke salmon, different cheeses and fruits. Definitely a yummy brunch!

We saw that they had a rooftop bar too, so after we finished up eating, we headed up stairs and found a nice spot to chill. We all ordered a blood orange chiller drink which probably had vodka in it. We then each ordered another drink and after a long time chilling, it was time to head back. We all start to pack-up some of our stuff and then try to take a quick cat nap to prep ourselves for our last night.

Brunch w/ Lola Roma

Auntie Roma wanted to take us out for brunch since she didn't work today. She took us out to this brunch spot, Si Bon, that's known for their Belgium waffles.

Of course, the place was jam packed with a buncha retired folk. Haha. So crazy how Palm Springs has a completely different crowd than we're used to. At least you can almost guarantee a peaceful atmosphere!

For brunch J ordered Mango stuffed Belgium Waffles topped w/ Custard and Berries.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict that's served on Twin Waffles and house fries. There were 4 styles to choose from and I ended up picking the Dungeness Crab Cakes.

Auntie Roma got the same as me, but she had the waffles on the side as well as the hollandaise.

For Zoë, we ordered her a 6 Stack of Dollar Pancakes. They're basically dollar coin sized pancakes, but not stacked. They were laid across a plate for her.

We weren't impressed with the Mango Stuffed Belgium Waffles. First off, they weren't mango stuffed. There was mango on top. Second, the waffle was like brick toast. Super hard and extra toasty on the edges. Sorry, but Belgium waffles are supposed to be thick, soft and fluffy. The Eggs Benedict though, on point! I could eat that all day erry day. The crab cakes had good chunks of crab mixed in and that hollandaise sauce was so finger-licking delicious. Zoë loved her pancakes as she practically ate each and every one! Aside from the failed Belgium waffles, everything was delicious.

They even passed around this herbal juice drink that we got to try. I think it was something like grapefruit, OJ and some herb. Thyme? Basil? I forget.

They were served in tiny tall shot glasses that were worthy of a fun brunch toast!

Our trip out here was super fun! Now, the dreaded hot and long drive home.

Dim Sum and Then Some

Dim Sum for brunch today! I've seriously been craving it lately. This time we went over to Tin Tin Seafood Restaurant. It's nearby and we needed to grab it quickly before we head over to Iban's for Wrestlemania. Luckily they allow for us to order pick-up because the wait to get seated looked pretty long. I did the ordering and got these yummy bites...
