Last Dindin at The Macintosh

Athenel and Nella were once again ready far before the rest of us gals were. Haha. They're really good with keeping on schedule. Anyhow, they headed on over to The Macintosh before us all. When us four girls were ready, we followed right after. Oh, and for tonight's outfit, it's basically anything blush or pink colored. When we got there Athenel and Nella were enjoying drinks at the bar while they waited for us. Us four ordered ourselves our own drinks as well while we waited for An and all her friends to arrive. I ordered myself the Sister Basil, which is Vodka, yellow Chartreuse, Strawberry, Basil, Balsamic and Black Pepper.

The rest of the gals arrive and we're taken to our seats. When we get there, after perusing the menus, they waiter brings us all glasses of Rose. Turns out, on of An's friends that couldn't make it out, found out we were here and bought us a round of Rose. That's so sweet and thoughtful!

For dinner, me and Ericka share a dish again. When the waiter explains each dish to us, it's crazy because he adds all this extra information, like where the fish was caught, how fresh it is, yada yada. He has extensive knowledge, which is nice to know. Anyhow, me and Ericka end up sharing Housemade Ricotta Gnudi with Red Pepper, Eggplant, Holy Basil and Almond as a starter and the ""The Mac"" CAB Burger, which has Aged Cheddar, Nueske's Bacon, and Pecorino Truffle Fries for our entree. The Gnudi was pretty delicious and the burger was, well, a burger. It was delicious, but nothing spectacular. I'm glad we shared again too. It saved us both money and we didn't even finish our fries because we were both full off of the starter and half an entree.

Afterwards, we headed next door to another rooftop bar, Cocktail Club. Here we plan on ordering punch bowls, and you know how dangerous those can be! We ordered two of them, Pimm's Punch, which has Pimm's, Kronin Punch, Curacao, Highlighted with strawberries, Mint, Lime, Cucumber and Ginger Ale, and another one that wasn't on the menu, but just as delicious. I think it had orange and grapefruit in it, but I forgot what the alcohol base was. Oh well, it was tasty!

When the punch bowls arrive, we're all shocked because they don't come in normal fashion. I'm not sure if you've every had a punch bowl, but normally, the bowl comes along with a ton of huge long straws that we all use to sip directly from the bowl. Not these ones! They come with a ton of mini glass tea cups! So much cuter and way chic!

Since they came in these cute glass tea cups, we had to cheers with our pinkies up!

It was getting way too hot outside, so we eventually moved our punch bowls inside. It was way crowded though and we had to move three times until we found the perfect spot we can all fit at. And that was it! An's last Hoo-RAH before she becomes Mrs. Lauron!

We split up into two groups and took lyfts back home. Our lyft was so crazy! It was a van that was decked out with all this "mood" lighting. Underneath the van were a few strips of lights, then inside there were lights all over the place. Under seats, up in the dash and I forget where else. But that wasn't all! The driver, who was an older guy. Like serioulsy, maybe in his 50's or older? Well, he said something along the lines of his ride being awsome because it was the kareoke van! And then he turns on the giant ipad that was docked on the middle console. And Bam! Instant Kareoke! Hahaha. He totally started off with Backstreet Boys' As Long As You Love Me! We were all drunk and singing along like crazy. I'm sure I looked obnoxiously annoying. Hahaha. With my mouth all open wide, belting out the words so out of tune. Hahaha. But who cares, it was fun! He then played Journey and even busted out a microphone. Hahaha. Totally awesome! Bummer that we only had enough time for two songs though. That guy deserves a huge tip!

Back at the house, we all take one last group photo of everyone in their blush/pink outfits. Then we all say goodnight and half the girls go to the other house.

We start cleaning up and packing up all our gear. Because tomorrow, we need to get up at freaking 4:00 am in order to leave no later than 4:30 am and make our flight. We all don't fall asleep until 1:00 am, so yah, when 4:00 am rolls around, we're all running on 3 hours of sleep. Ugh.

Brunch Spot

The four of us opted out of today's day festivities. Our day outfits were whatever cute summery dress we had. Didn't get a pic of that one though, since we were separated from everyone else. We just weren't up to the plantation tour or the beach. An and her friends wanted to head out to the beach and An's sisters were thinking of still heading out for the plantation tour. A few of An's friends also ended up somewhere else. They had planned to meet their old professor. We did hear that An's sisters also ended up over at the beach with An. Bummer, oh well.

We ended up at this brunch spot that had an awesome brunch buffet. They even had cheap glasses of Mimosas! I got me a plate of sausage, bacon, eggs, a biscuit, and grits. Yummmm! Also got soe smoke salmon, different cheeses and fruits. Definitely a yummy brunch!

We saw that they had a rooftop bar too, so after we finished up eating, we headed up stairs and found a nice spot to chill. We all ordered a blood orange chiller drink which probably had vodka in it. We then each ordered another drink and after a long time chilling, it was time to head back. We all start to pack-up some of our stuff and then try to take a quick cat nap to prep ourselves for our last night.

Dranks at The Restoration

Time for drinks at a Rooftop Bar! We also had a few more of An's friends show up, Lola and Pam. We all walked on over to The Restoration roof top bar. The outside patio as way too full, so we headed inside first and grabbed ourselves a long table.

Got myself the Copper Still, which is High Wire Vodka, Brandied Cherry Syrup and Ginger Beer.

After each of us ordering a 2nd drink, one of An's friends ordered a round of shots for everyone. It was a shot of Vodka that totally was actually a double shot. We then took our 2nd drink and headed to the outdoor patio. We chilled and sipped our drinks while stories of how An and Geoff met were told, or stories of how An can throw it down when needed. Also heard how Athenel answered An's phone when Geoff called and what he said was hilarious and Denise's reaction when she first met An too!

After chillin for a good while, we headed down the elevators and off to our next stop. Of course, couldn't resist a fun group selfie in the elevators!

The next spot was this bar that was crowded as hell. We decided to get a table, which ended up being about $37 per person before taxes and tip. Everyone was game, and I'm super glad because it seriously was as crowded as Tao in Vegas. Which, if you don't know, is annoyingly crowded. Denise put down her card for the table service and got us a large bottle of Ciroc Peach. Cheers Bitches!

We totally ran out of drinks real quick since there was a bunch of us. Had to make it to the bathroom area though as Ericka needed to go. I was pretty lit and totally jumped into someone's snapchat video. Haha. After our bathroom break, we headed back to the bar and Ericka bought me and her a shot of Jameson because we both weren't drunk enough. Went down pretty smooth actually. We ended up back at our table, but then Denise and Liz wanted to head back to the bar. I haven't bought anyone drinks yet, so I offered to buy us each some Ciroc Peach and Redbull again, since that seems to be the drink of the weekend. And then, lights were on and we all had to down our drinks. Boo. Nights over!

Dinner at Husk

Time for dinner! Tonight's spot is another highly rated restaurant called Husk. Our outfits for the night are something bright!

Athenel and Nella went ahead of us again. And at least another one of An's friends, Liliana, was able to make it, making it 10 girls total! An and her friends were still getting ready when us four headed off. We got seated right when we got there and were ready to do some damage in the food department! We didn't want to stuff ourselves like we did at brunch, though. Plus we wanted to save money. So, Liz and Denise shared an entree while me and Ericka shared one. Then, for the table, we ordered Southern Fried Chicken Skins with Pimento Cheese Ranch, Scallions, and Espelette, Broadbent Country Ham with Buttermilk Biscuits, Dijonnaise, and House Made Pickles, and Grilled Sweet Corn Salad with SC Peaches, Charred Peppers, Pickled Blueberries and Charleston Artisan Brie.

We also got us the Skillet of Real Cornbread with Benton's Bacon Crumble.

All the shared sides were super delicious, with the exception of the cornbread. Totally not as good as I'd thought it'd be being here in Charleston and all.

As for our entree, me and Ericka shared the NC Chicken with Candy Roaster Squash, Sweet Corn, Peaches, Chanterelles, Lowcountry Creamery Buttermilk and Orange.

They were nice enough to split the meal for us onto two separate plates! And as small as it looks, with all the sides, it was the perfect amount.

As for my drink with the meal? I had myself the Turn the Page, which was Vodka with Hibiscus Tea, Vanilla and page Mandarin Orange.

We took some photos outside of the restaurant and someone remarked that we totally look like a Sorority House during Pledge Week. Hahaha.

Brunch at High Cotton

Up and atoms! Today starts with all of us in our Midi Dresses. That was the attire planned for the group for brunch and walking around Charleston.

We had brunch setup at High Cotton. This spot had really cute decor. High ceilings, pretty chandeliers all over, large leaf like ceiling fans over our dining area.

For my entree I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. I had potatoes on as my side. The crab cake benedict was super yummy. I devoured my first one real quick, but by the time I finished it I was pretty full. I ate only a few of the potatoes and then forced myself to eat the other crab cake benedict because I didn't want to waste food. I know I could've taken it to go, but I didn't want to carry it around while we walked around and I doubt it would be as good later on.

After brunch, we headed over to find the Pineapple Fountain. We took a group picture in front of it, but we had to take it in a way so that we could block the people that were bathing in it! Lol. Yes, kiddos and even a few adults were ""swimming"" in the fountain. Ewwww. Still, our pic came out cute.

We loved the trees and overall look of the walkways nearby too so we took more photos.

We took candid photos on the benches nearby.

We also took a photo down the walkway.

Next stop, Rainbow Row, which is just a row of houses that were built in the 1600's (if memory serves me right). Each ones was painted in a different, vibrant color, painting a ""rainbow"" of houses along the road. I took a quick pick of the spot. An wanted some pretty pictures taken here, so they stopped and took a ton of photos while the half of us were burnt out by the heat and humidity. We kept walking far ahead in hopes that we could find some cafe or other shop that we can cool off in. Bummer though, that never happened. Eventually An and her sisters caught up with us and we all made our way out of the neighborhood area.

We eventually found a cute shop to cool off in. Nothing to buy there though. We found a clothing store not far from that called Impeccable Pig. They had really cute stuff here and Denise noticed that her work sells clothes to this store. I made my way to the sale rack, where Denise was, and totally found this cute light blue romper! It's only $24 and even luckier, this whole weekend is ""No Tax"" weekend in Charleston. Score!

It was still hot and humid outside when we exited the shop. A few of the girls already headed over to a cafe nearby so that's where we headed to next. We all bought bottles of water to hydrate with. We also did a tooon of walking and most of us were in heels. Me, Liz, Denise and Ericka were pooped. We called a lyft and headed back home while the rest of the girls went shopping. A few of them needed some outfits for the rest of the weekend's planned attire. We grabbed ourselves a lyft and headed back home to try and nap before tonight's festivities. Right when we were dropped off though, it started to downpour like crazy! All you hear is us gals screaming as we're straight running in our heels over to the house. Thank goodness none of us slipped or tripped because the drive way was full of a ton of loose rocks/gravel. I mean, it was scheduled to rain a lot all weekend long, so at least we were lucky that it didn't really kill any of the major festivities.

Brunching at Xiao Bao Biscuit

After unpacking and getting situated, we all changed and freshened up a bit and then headed on over to this little brunch spot that was literally down the street from where we were at. Unfortunately, they were packed as hell inside and we had to grab a bench outside. The menu was quite small for brunch/lunch and honestly, none of them had the bao biscuit, which is basically like siopao bread. They did have a special on it, which Athenel ordered. The rest of us ordered different things. I ordered myself the Pad Kra Pow, which is Thai style minced beef, beans, thai chili and basil over rice with a sunny side up egg on top.

As you can see, I also ordered myself a drink. Got me the Borneo Sunrise, which is white rum, orange flower water, pomegranate, molasses and fresh pressed juice. Both my dish and my drink was delicious. A few other things girls ordered were the Okonomiyaki, a Japansee cabage pancake, and Chao Fan, XBB fried rice. The Okonomiyaki was basically a bunch of veggies in the shape of a pancake, but no actual batter added in and the Chao Fan was tasty, but boy was it spicy!

After brunch, 5 of us headed over to a convenience store to pick-up snacks and alky and whatever other necessities were needed. An's two sisters headed back home. Our lyft driver came in a van and took us to a grocery store where we found out didn't sell any alky! Apparently in Charleston alky is only sold at a liquor store. All other grocery and convenience stores can only sell beer and wine. We did grab snacks and chasers though! Thankfully, we asked our driver if he can wait outside for us to take us back home. Otherwise, we'd have to find another lyft driver to take us to an actual liquor store. Our driver was also nice enough to take us to the liquor store and then back over to BofA because the convenience store totally didn't have a great cash back option for An! They only gave her a $20. Hahaha. Makes sense though as they probably don't have a ton of cash in their drawers. Our driver also gave us a bunch of tips and spots to check out. He even added a bit of history. Lol, he basically gave us a mini tour!

When we got back home, we saw that An's sisters did a bit of decorating! Liz also put out her own penis deco. Lol. Cause, you know, can't have a bachelorette without that! And now we nap!

Hello Charleston!

Once we landed in Charleston, we headed out to grab a ride to our Air Bnb's. We saw a lady and totally got duped! She was saying that uber/lyft charges for bags and then got a van for us that woul dbe $14 pp! Wtheazy. Denise and Liz both checked Lyft while we were headed out to the Air Bnb and saw that a ride from the airport would've totally been like $17! So, like $34 total for two cars out. Waaaaay cheaper if you ask me. Oh well, what can we do now?

Anyhows, we arrived at our Air Bnb! There were two rentals that were condominiums. It was actually a row of 4 condominiums attached together. We had the last 2 reserved for us. They were each 3 floors up. The first floor was the kitchen, living room and a half bathroom (toilet only). The second floor had a bathroom and two bedrooms. One teeny tiny one and one super spacious bedrom. It also had the washer and dryer and a little patio. The third floor had a ginormous bathroom and the master bedroom. An's sister shared the master bedroom on the third floor, Denise and Erica shared the spacious bedroom on the 2nd floor and me and Liz shared the teeny tiny room on the 2nd floor.

The doors were so freaking heavy that they wouldn't stay open unless we propped something up against it and the setup was just a bit claustrophobic and a tad scary.

Anyhow, time to unpack and settle in for the long weekend.

Bon Voyage!

It's time for us to go! So crazy, because I'm so tired. Had to work and then didn't get home until 7 pm because of traffic, so didn't even have enough time to nap. Then, I had to get last minute things ready and make sure everything was set for Zoē since Lola Dinky and Papa Eric were going to watch her all weekend.

We left the house at 8:00 pm because we needed to pick-up Liz's cousin in Arcadia so that she can drop us off at LAX and then pick us up when we get back home as well.

We got to the airport and finally checked in. Denise and Ericka actually got there ahead of us. We were all super starved and ready to grab some dinner, which also became the first drink of the trip!
I ordered myself the burger at the only restaurant that was open. It was expensive and not good. But it did satisfy my belly and had enough carbs to soak up all that alcohol. Because, you know, I'm deathly afraid of getting far too wasted! I mean, it's been three years!! That's a long time of no alcohol.

And so it starts! We all ordered drinks to go with our meals. I ordered myself a Moscow Mule type of drink. The burger was meh and super dry. There was no condiments in it. No mayo, ketchup, mustard or relish. Booo. Not even a different sauce like BBQ or ranch either. But, I ate it because I was hunger and I needed my tummy satisified with all the alky. The fries were also meh, but we kept eating them because they were right in front of us.

After we ate, we met up with An and Athenel and Denise and Liz went off to find us chasers because we totally brought in a bunch of those mini bottles of alky and we were all gonna have ourselves some drank!

We had our cheers and then went off to our board our plane! The flight was only a few hours over to Houston, TX. We all tried to get some much needed shut eye, cause we knew when we landed in Charleston, it would be 10:00 am and we'd have to hit the ground running. Our flight was slightly delayed too, so when we landed at our lay over, we had to make a mad dash to our connecting flight. And I really don't get it. Every connecting flight I'd ever had was a total journey across the entire airport! How do they not try and put them next to each other, especially when it's the same exact airline? Anyways, we luckily made it in time and this flight we shared with An and Athenel and their other sister, Nella, we we met up with at the airport. The flight was also a bit longer and most of us got some good sleep. And then, here we are! Good ol' Charleston, SC!
