Brunch at High Cotton

Up and atoms! Today starts with all of us in our Midi Dresses. That was the attire planned for the group for brunch and walking around Charleston.

We had brunch setup at High Cotton. This spot had really cute decor. High ceilings, pretty chandeliers all over, large leaf like ceiling fans over our dining area.

For my entree I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. I had potatoes on as my side. The crab cake benedict was super yummy. I devoured my first one real quick, but by the time I finished it I was pretty full. I ate only a few of the potatoes and then forced myself to eat the other crab cake benedict because I didn't want to waste food. I know I could've taken it to go, but I didn't want to carry it around while we walked around and I doubt it would be as good later on.

After brunch, we headed over to find the Pineapple Fountain. We took a group picture in front of it, but we had to take it in a way so that we could block the people that were bathing in it! Lol. Yes, kiddos and even a few adults were ""swimming"" in the fountain. Ewwww. Still, our pic came out cute.

We loved the trees and overall look of the walkways nearby too so we took more photos.

We took candid photos on the benches nearby.

We also took a photo down the walkway.

Next stop, Rainbow Row, which is just a row of houses that were built in the 1600's (if memory serves me right). Each ones was painted in a different, vibrant color, painting a ""rainbow"" of houses along the road. I took a quick pick of the spot. An wanted some pretty pictures taken here, so they stopped and took a ton of photos while the half of us were burnt out by the heat and humidity. We kept walking far ahead in hopes that we could find some cafe or other shop that we can cool off in. Bummer though, that never happened. Eventually An and her sisters caught up with us and we all made our way out of the neighborhood area.

We eventually found a cute shop to cool off in. Nothing to buy there though. We found a clothing store not far from that called Impeccable Pig. They had really cute stuff here and Denise noticed that her work sells clothes to this store. I made my way to the sale rack, where Denise was, and totally found this cute light blue romper! It's only $24 and even luckier, this whole weekend is ""No Tax"" weekend in Charleston. Score!

It was still hot and humid outside when we exited the shop. A few of the girls already headed over to a cafe nearby so that's where we headed to next. We all bought bottles of water to hydrate with. We also did a tooon of walking and most of us were in heels. Me, Liz, Denise and Ericka were pooped. We called a lyft and headed back home while the rest of the girls went shopping. A few of them needed some outfits for the rest of the weekend's planned attire. We grabbed ourselves a lyft and headed back home to try and nap before tonight's festivities. Right when we were dropped off though, it started to downpour like crazy! All you hear is us gals screaming as we're straight running in our heels over to the house. Thank goodness none of us slipped or tripped because the drive way was full of a ton of loose rocks/gravel. I mean, it was scheduled to rain a lot all weekend long, so at least we were lucky that it didn't really kill any of the major festivities.
