Getting my birthday freebies from Sephora today!

I chose the BITE BEAUTY freebie. It was between that and GLAM GLOW.

BITE BEAUTY comes with a Mini Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chal, a Mini Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace and Agave Lip Balm and Sugar Lip Scrub.

GLAM BLOW comes with Supermud Clearing Treatment and Glow Starter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow.

The colors for the lippies look awesome, which is pretty much why I chose them. Maybe there'll be a future post where I show you how they look!

Foodie Freebies

The Habit offered free Charburger with cheese and we totally took advantage of this for lunch today!

So delicious!

Healthy Eats for Dirt Cheap

Got me some healthy eats for super cheap today. I still have tons of those coupons for the Suja drinks and they actually give you cash back at Walmart and I can use 2 per visit! Score!

So, I put two in my cart and added a salad bowl too. The salad bowl was already marked down, so when you added the extra 98 cents per Suja bottle, I ended up paying a measly 60 cents or so for everything! How awesome is that!

More Suja

Grabbed another bottle of Suja. This time, I got a bottle from Walmart. They had better choices. None of that Vinegar caca. I also got a free candy bar with the remaining credit from the coupon. Woot!

Tried the Green Delight, which is equivalent to the Green Machine from Naked. It's pretty darn delicious!

Suja Drink

My co-worker's sister works for Suja, which is a healthy bottled juice company. She gives him tons and tons of free coupons, so he gave some to us. Anyhow, it's for a free drink and then some. If you use it over at Walmart, it transposes the remaining credit into cash. How cool! Of course, depending on which cashier you get, you may or may not get cash back. So, always best to add something to the purchase that you can get a discount on.

Anyhow, found this one at Target. They don't have the regular flavors, so I wanted to try the vinegar one out. They also don't give any cash back or allow the remaining credit to be applied to other goods.

The verdict? Yuck! Hahaha. The vinegar was overpowering! It was just too much. And I like vinegar! It's just weird with everything else.

Zoo Time Fun

I saw online that Santa Ana Zoo allows for free visits for 2 adults and 2 children for Santa Ana residents! Since my Driver's License still has my parent's address, we got free entrance! Woohoo. Oh, it's also only free on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

Anyhow, here we are! First stop? A monkey statue that Zoë wanted a pic with, but was also scared of. Hahaha.

We headed on to the first area of animals and the first major animal we saw was a ginormous Turkey!

This Turkey totally had an eye on Zoë. It kept following her around while Zoë walked along the length of the fence! And when Zoë backed away to look at something else, the Turkey left and then came right back up to the fence when Zoë went back. It was funny, but at the same time, I had to make sure Zoë didn't try to put her fingers or hands up against the fence.

After the crazy Turkey, we went to hatch a Zoë!


We also saw a cute Cow that Zoë had fun moo'ing at.

They had a pretty cool Bald Eagle too!

The most interesting exhibits though? All the Monkeys!!



What a lovely family fun day at the zoo!

On the way out, Jeric bought her some ice cream that she devoured instantly!

Free Food!

I get alerts for free deals for food here and there and last week got an email from El Pollo Loco. They have these new bento dishes that they're testing out at a location near us and were offering them free. You basically have to reserve the free dish online to get the coupon code. I reserved one for me and J! Well, they release today, so I headed straight over there right after I got off work. Zoë ended up falling asleep in the car right before we got there, so I ended up going through drive-thru, which totally sucked because that line was long as hell! I was kinda worried too because the deal was to be retrieved between the hours of 6pm and 7pm. I got there at 6:45 pm, but the drive-thru line was just too long! Oh well, here's to hoping the honor it!

When I got through, I saw that they certainly did honor my coupons! Score!

I ordered an enchalada bento for me and a chicken quesadilla bento for J. Both came with two sides each and we were allowed to swap out the sides! I got mac and cheese for me and mashed potatoes for J. The sides are really for Zoë anyways. They did accidentally put beans in J's bento instead of the mashed potatoes, but they were nice enough to pack the mashed potatoes in a separate container. Thank goodness the bento dinner plate had sections, which kept the beans far far away from the rest of the meal. Haha.

Free Bdubbs!

About a week or so ago, we ate at Buffalo Wild Wings and the service was the absolute worst we'd ever had our entire lives. Ok, maybe that's a little exaggerated, but it was horrible. Normally, once you're seated, your waitress comes and starts you off with waters. It seriously took over thirty minutes before we were even greeted by anyone. It was getting really annoying as we watched every table after us have a waitress greet them immediately. Then, when were finally greeted and given our glasses of water, we ordered straight away. After getting our food, that was practically the last time we saw our waitress. She forgot napkins and forks. Took forever to get them from another waitress. Never even got a single refill on our water. Then, when we were so ready to go home so we can get Zoë to bed, it took mad forever to get boxes and the check! We even finally saw our waitress, but it wasn't because she was actually doing her job. We saw her chatting away and laughing with another employee! This went on and on for more than 20 minutes. I was getting so annoyed. J had a better idea though. Instead of getting angry with me, he took his phone out and recorded her. Then on the way out, we asked for the manager and explained our grievances. I wasn't gonna let it slide. There's just no way I could do that after wasting over an hour of our precious time. Funny thing too, as I was speaking with the manager, J was paying and the waitress was totally like, "Instead of recording me, how about just go to the website and file a complaint." Well, if you'd do your job, we wouldn't record you. Plus, doesn't she realize we just wanted it as proof to show her manager.

Anyways the manager was really nice about it. He felt bad for us and said to come by another time and ask for him. Well, today, we went over and asked for him. He remembered us and gave us a free appetizer! He recommended their new one, the southwest platter. It came with three tacos, nachos and quesadillas!

Definitely was super delicious! We were super thankful for the free platter with our dinner.
