Tanaka Farms Fun

We were supposed to go to Tanaka Farms on the 14th, but because of the rain, they closed the farm up and gave us our refund. I really wanted to take the baby this year though since she's more aware of her surroundings. We're totally sure she'll have tons of fun. So, I bought tickets for today!

I also purchased tickets to the petting zoo, which she's definitely excited for!

This is also our first time visiting since they collabed with Sanrio, which only started last year actually. Haha. Anyhow, the collab is pretty cool. They pretty much just added large wooden cutouts that had the colorful Sanrio characters painted on them for signage and photo ops. You'll see some of these as we make are way around the farm.

When we walked in, we ready to go straight to the petting zoo, but some nice lady was on her way out and actually gave us their stickers for the wagon ride. I didn't think it would be fun, which is why I didn't purchase them from the start. But, for free? Why not!

So that ended up our first stop!

We got a nice close up view of the farmlands as well as the pumpkin patch.

We also got a close-up view of people launching mini pumpkins way up into the air. We had vid of it, but that vid is far too long!

You can also view it over at Zoe's Playhouse YouTube Channel.

And finally, time for the petting zoo! Zoë's first and only animal she tried to pet... haha, the sheep on the petting zoo billboard.

Sadly though. She got very scared when we got in. She didn't take it well when the older goats came at her. Hahaha. If you watch the video above, you'll se how scared poor baby was. You can tell she was extremely terrified and I had to carry her. After that, she wouldn't go down at all. Either me or Dada had to carry her.

She only partially warmed up to the baby goats, but even then, she didn't want to let go of Daddy. Totally get it though. Adult goats were super aggressive! One even started chewing my backpack! They just wanted food. Hahaha.

Here's a few shots of the big goats.

Next was the Chicken Coop, which also had baby calves and hens in a separate area. Here's the two cute baby calves taking their afternoon nap.

Zoë didn't want to go down here either because there was a big chicken running around. Hahaha. Poor thing was traumatized. This is that big chicken.

He was pretty daring too. He flew up to the top of the gate and then flew over. I mean, there are two gates to keep animals from wandering out, but since he flew up, he could definitely easily have flew out if someone opened the last gate.

In the calf and hen area, I saw the cutest fuzzy hens! Here's the black one. The white one hid somewhere when I got a good chance for photos.

I'm assuming these are hens or little chickens since they were kept separate.

This one's most def a hen. Probably sitting on a buncha eggs.

When we finally went out. Zoë was still interested in the animals. But she didn't want to go inside. So we just walked around the perimeter when this baby goat spotted Zoë and was trying to coax her into coming close. Such a cute little baby goat!

Here's baby girl in front of the corn stalks. She was wondering where all the corn was. Hahahaha. I told her they were probably picked already.

Just some other cute photos of baby girl and us around the farm.

In front of the cute Hello Kitty statue.

Zoë wearing her Sanrio hat and also in front of the height measuring board.

Now time for the actual pumpkin patch!

Zoë was excited to sit on this huge pumpkin!

Cheesin with the bordered photo board.

More pumpkin photos!

Baby girl did have an awesome time! Too bad it was extremely hot. Hahaha. Mommy and Daddy were over the heat. Otherwise we would've stayed a bit longer.

Celebrating 6 Years!

9 years dating, 2 years engaged and 6 years married! Happy Anniversay buddy!

Today we celebrate our anniversary. We decided to hit up Sea World and have some fun with Zoë.

We thought she'd love the "Shamu" show, but she was bored. Can't blame her though, they changed it so much. It's like a documentary. Educating you about the animals with no music backgrounds or theatrics.

I understand though. The BlackFish documentary opened a lot of peoples eyes.

But yes, the show has completely changed since the last time we've been here, which was pretty much more than 6 years ago since it was before we got married.

Anyhow, Zoë was over it and wanted to leave. Lol.

Another crazy story for the day? We lost Zoë. Or at least we almost did. We were near the baskball area after just walking through the arcade. Zoë wanted to see all the games in there. Jeric was watching some people trying to win the prizes. I had Zoë next to me, but told Jeric, hey, imma tie my shoe.

Of course, when I look up, Zoë's gone! Panic ensues. Jeric ran to the entrance of the arcade. And we both were yelling her name out. And then, BAM! Out from under one of the banners hanging from the railings of the basketball area came Zoë. OH EM GEE! Worst feeling ever.

None-the-less we all had an amazing time.

I'm just going to post some of my favorite pics!

From Zoo to Disney

Zoë has a fun filled adventure planned out for today!

First off, it's free day at the Zoo!

Zoë loved watching the camels with Dada.

Then, after walking around and watching the millions of monkeys in captivity, we were almost done. On the way out though, I really wanted to see the birdies. So of course, I make it like Zoë wants to see the birdies. Haha. Jeric was over it though. So he waitied outside while me and Zoë went into the bird fly zone area.

We walked through almost the whole thing without spotting a single bird. Then, near the exit, there they all were!

Here are 2 Scarlet Ibis and a Mallard Duck

Zoë definitely did try to get as close as she could. She even got way too close to the water for Mommy's comfort. Haha. Thankfully, I didn't leave the park with a soaking wet child.

I even got up real close to a Parrot! The little guy let me take so many photos of him. Here are a few...

On the way out.. we saw a lot of what looked like abaondoned animal statues. And what does one do when one comes across such an exhibit? Cross the barrier for photos of course!

In the end.. Zoë did not want to leave. But it had nothing to do with the animals or the zoo. Nope! She wanted to stay behind and play with sticks!

And noooow time for Disneyland!

This time we remembered to bring along her bubble wand and she loved it!

Eventually, she did get out of the stroller and then started "shooting" bubbles at me and laughing. She thought it was super hilarious.

Meanwhile, Daddy was in line to get popcorn. Thanks to Ninong Iban, Zoë got herself the Alien Popcorn Bucket! It allowed for $1 refills on popcorn for a few months. We were super excited and wanted to try the kettle corn. But, what a bummer, the kettle corn wasn't allowed with the deal.

Oh well! Zoë had fun with her Alien bucket filled with popcorn!

We ended our fun-filled day with a ride on Dumbo!
