I checked yelp the other night and it said they were open, which made sense since soft opening was on March 9th. Plus it was too late to call them and see if they were legitly opened for business. (I didn't think of calling them in the morning).
So here we are, good ol' City Walk!
So we met up with the Zunigas and headed on over, drove through hellish traffic, and paid the ridiculous parking fee of $20 only to find that it's. Not. Open. Ugh!
We ended up having lunch at Blaze Pizza.. which we could have totally done in our neck of the woods.
After devouring our pizzas, we walked around and totally got stuck watching some folks go through the sky diving simulator.
While walking around, Zoë wanted to sit down over on a curb. I thought she just wanted to rest cause it was so dang hot, but nope, she wanted to pull pretty petals off of flowers. Hahaha.
We took shelter in a candy shop mostly because I thought they'd have running ac, plus I wanted to see all the candy. Hahaha. Unfortunately, they had no ac. Like, really? You'd think that they would though, considering that they have containers full of candy that could melt! Lol. Surprisingly, I came out without a single candy purchase. Of course I was tempted to buy everything there, but I kept myself in-check. Zoë got a lovely gift from the Zunigas though. They got her a teeny lollipop!
We did end up with a bucket of Sparky's Donuts (I know.. totally not the same.. but we needed to fill the void from the missing Voodoo Donuts). Zoë definitely enjoyed them. She kept asking for more! They're these teeny tiny donuts (Zoë size! Haha) that are just plain, but covered in cinnamon sugar.
And that was it! At least we had our much needed Zuniga date!
And luckily, we found a receipt for the theaters and they refunded $15 for our parking!
