Well.. when we got to the place, it took awhile to find parking. The street parking area was packed as hell. Luckily the art show was only about a few blocks down. But, unluckily, there was no answer whatsoever. The building doors were locked and it had a call box to dial whichever suite you're trying to reach, but it rang and rang and rang to no prevail. Ugh! Why does this always happen to me. I've been failing on so many of our adventures lately. First the beach (too cold), then Voodoo Donuts (not even open) and now this! Oi Vey!
Well, gotta make the most of it! We already paid for parking. Luckily the art show was on 4th Street, and totally parallel to the 3rd Street Promenade.
We walked on over and we were at the beginning of the 3rd Street Promenade, but to the left of us was also an outdoor mall, which had a Nike Store right there! Of course we had to stop by and see if they had any shoes we wanted, especially a pair of Adidas NMD's I've been dying to get a hold of.
The witto monkey really enjoyed the signage for the outdoor mall.
She was so fascinated by the letters! She was mouthing off random letters while touching the signage. Haha!
Well, boo for me. Nike had no NMD's. Ugh! We walked around the outdoor mall for a bit more since they had a uniqlo store there and we had a freebie offer in our email. We also checked out the Disney Store before finally making our way back out to explore 3rd Street Promenade (which J has never ever been to).
We were all in love with the Dinosaur Topiaries! Zoë was even the first to notice them. She just went, "Dinosaur! Rawr, rawr, rawr!" Hahaha. Cutie!
The walk down 3rd Street Promenade was a lot of fun and really relaxing! We'll definitely be coming back here, but when it's much warmer.
I had also planned on making some time to walk along Santa Monica Pier, but it was way too cold and our meter was close to expiring. So we're saving that for next time too!
