So, I'm finally trying out more of the snacks I bought the other day.
I tried the Dried Squid, which was said to be close to beef jerky. I was pretty excited because I love beef jerky!
I must say, yes, the texture and leather-like tension each strand held was very much like beef jerky. Flavor-wise? I give it an a-ok. Mediocre at best. There's something about it that just wasn't appealing, but at the same time, I kept grabbing strand after strand. Oh, it's also quite messy to eat, unlike beef jerky. Since it's shredded squid, most of the strands are stuck together. Looks like they shredded it, but kept the top parts still intact. It was more like creating more tentacles and when you grabbed a strand to chew on, 5 million other strands came with.
I also tried the Red Bean Mochi today.
It was also sub par. The red bean definitely made it much better. The mocha itself wasn't my cup of tea. I think I'll stick to mochi from mochi ice cream or the mochi you add as a topping to your froyo. Jeric also tried it, and he said, "tastes like flowers." LOL! It does give off that flowery fragrance as you bite into it.
Meanwhile, the baby girl is straight chillin with the iPad. Lol. Oh, the life of a baby!
