Lunar Year Celebration and Toontown Fun

Taking a day out of all the craziness involved with moving from my parent's to Jeric's parent's. And what better way to do so? Disneyland!

I wanted to check out the Lunar Year Celebration stuff and hopefully get a photo with Mulan and Mushu, so we headed over to California Adventure first. Plus, it's my year, year of the Rooster.

The Lunar Celebration was all the way over by Goofy's Sky School. I guess this is the new designated spot for special events held at California Adventure.

Right at the beginning of the spot to celebrate was a large archway decorated with Chinese lanterns and signage for the Lunar New Year.

Here's a close-up shot of the pillars of the archway.

Over by the photo op spots and where they held all the fun activities was another archway, which looked way cuter!

There were Foo Dog statues on either side of the archway, right in front of the pillars. These are the Chinese Guardian Lions.

There was also a huge area meant for everyone to tie their wishes onto. We hung around there and checked out some of the wishes people made.

Unfortunately, the photo ops with characters was already done for the day. They freaking end at 5:00 pm. Good looking out for your local peeps with low tier passes Disney! Guess we're never going to get our picture with Mulan and Mushu or Lunar Year Mickey & Minnie. Oh well, this was the spot where it was supposed to happen.

At least they had activities still. They allowed folks with an AP pass to write wishes still. Dada and Zoë took their turn writing down their wishes.

Here's all three of our wishes! Zoë seems pretty satisfied with what we all wished for.

Me and Zoë went to find a spot to tie are wishes onto.

Happy Lunar Year!

Couldn't resist a selfie family photo op! (pardon my hand.. it always freaking blocks the lens)

After we were done with all the Lunar Year stuff, we headed over to Disneyland for some fun Toontown adventures! We actually really just wanted a photo with Mickey Mouse. Especially since he's become Zoë's favorite.

On the way to meeting Mickey, Zoë needed a rest and found Pluto's bed to be rather comfy.

Dada and Zoë checking to make sure they look good before meeting Mickey.

Finally.. Mickey Mouse!

Once we were done visiting Mickey, we took a stroll around Toontown.
