Shopping for Fishies

I took the day off today for a few reasons. The first, there's nothing to do at work these days and we don't really give an eff anyways, and the second, I was still recuperating from Coachella.

Since Zoë missed me while I was out over the weekend, I thought we should do something fun. She's been asking for a pet lately, so we figured a fish would be a good start. So that's what we did today! We hit-up a fish store to get her started.

Look who's happy!

Of course, we ended up with a bit more than one fishie. I got excited with her and we got a 5 gallon tank, which was good enough for 5 little fishies. She picked out all the deco. and really wanted a beta fish. I thought we'd end up with just the beta by itself, but the shop owner said we can mix with other fish, we just have to ask him which ones. So Zoë went down aisle by aisle, looking at the fishies. I was thinking a cute guppy or goldfish, but she didn't want them. She really didn't want any fish she saw. At least until we stopped by the pretty and bright Glofish Tetras. And those were the ones! She got two purple ones and two pink ones.

And now time to setup the tank!

Zoë had fun placing all the deco and the pretty pink and white rocks.

Tada! Zoë's cute fishies!

Guess what she named her cute fishies. She named the beta Controller B (yah, I have no idea either. haha, such a unique name) and the Glofish Tetras were princesses (this one was a given haha).

Relaxing After Vacay

After vacay time, all the girlies went out for a one hour massage! Woohoo!

We all got to chill and relax like these cute fishies.

Aquarium of the Pacific!

Heading to this wonderful place and meeting up with Denise, Ray and Dustin. While trying to find them, Jeric and Zoë headed over to view the large tank and all its glorious fishies. It was cute because they dropped in carved pumpkins to decorate for Halloween.

The first exhibit we all went to was the Jelly Fish area because you get to actually touch them! Zoë totally had a blast! As did Dustin.

I tried to shower the Baby Sharks, but sadly they were all sleeping in the corner and Zoë was too little to reach over and pet them.

She got to see some really pretty Sting Rays too with Dada.

We also found a cool place to sit down and enjoy views of the bigger sharks. Zoë was certainly taking advantage of the "lounge" spot she found.

She also got to touch the Horseshoe Crabs with Dada.

Then we headed to the upper levels of the outside exhibits to view the penguins. Jeric checked them out while Zoë watched them with Ninang Denise.

One of the penguins decided to give Zoë something to hoot about and Mama captured in on cam at just the right moment.

LOL! Yup, the penguin decided to poop in Zoë's face!

On the way out, the cousins had fun with the Penguin statues.

Peek-a-boo, I see you!

Some more of the wonderful exhibits we all got to see and touch.
