Coachella..Day 2

Lets get Day 2 started!

So, I forgot to mention, that Christian got his phone stolen yesterday. I noticed it happening, but didn't know that it was happening at the time, if that makes sense. Basically, I saw some dude standing WAY too close to Christian for far too long. Then, he left. Not long after, Christian was looking for his phone and realized it was gone!!

Anyhow, today, he and Iban went to AT&T so that he can get himself a new phone.

Meanwhile, Jason and I just chilled and I got ready. By the time the boys got back, they all had to shower and get ready. Time was ticking though. The first person we all wanted to see was Bazzi and his set starts at 6:05 pm. We really cut it close too. We literally got there right before he started. But we made it! Lol!

No pics of Bazzi though. He was aite live. There were a ton of songs that we didn't know though. He also brought out Ty Dolla Sign for Blase, which was coo. But we were hoping he'd bring out Camila Cabello for Mine, but nope. Oh well. Still a good set.

Afterwards, we just chilled and took in how crazy crowded it was! We were situated on a bit of a platform that gave us a pretty good view.

Now it's time for J Balvin! He wasn't even on the list, but the crowd looked promising. And check out his stage!

That's where things went from normal to straight cray and out of this world. You gotta ask me about this day more in person. Hahaha.

But just know we made it home safe... with a first aid kit in tow.

A few more awesome shots of the fest at night.

FYI, I was the only one who didn't make it to Day 3! Doh!

Coachella..Day 1

Got surprised with tickets to Coachella for my birthday!! I ended up going with Iban, Jason and Christian.

We left Friday early morning so that we can get there, rest a bit and get ready for the night.

We got up, ran errands, and got back to the house for a quick drink to start off the weekend!

Here's good "before" photos of us all.

And finally made it out to Coachella around 5.

We spent the beginning part of the day checking out the statues and monuments lying around. They were so bright and colorful!

We started off with Kacey Musgraves, requested by Jason. He just wanted to see her face. Haha. The music was meh, so we didn't stay long. We wandered a bit more after. Then, we headed back to the Coachella stage to check out Anderson.Paak, which was requested by Christian. Only took a snap of me and Jason before the show started.

Paak was pretty awesome! Super chill, deep base vibes. After his set was done, we walked around a bit, got some post lemonade, and then headed to the open stage to catch DJ Snake.

Tried to get a few pics of us, but with it being night and my shaky hands, this was all I got.

DJ Snake was the best! My fav of the night fo sho. The music was the best to jump around and dance too and he even brought out Selena Gomez and Cardi B!

We also checked out Diplo and Childish Gambino, but neither really held our attention. So we walked around a bit more and caught some cool night time pics.

We also went back to the open stage because it was vibin. And who knew! It was BlackPink, an all girl KPOP group. And they were really good!

And then we ended the night, sitting down until everything was done.

Water Lantern Fest

I got us tickets to the Water Lantern Fest to see how it compared to the Rise Fest. Thought it would still be a fun experience with the lanterns floating on the water instead.

We had to park a bit far and we went into the area around the lake the moment we saw a gate into it, but didn't realize it was a bad idea. We could've walked more sidewalk for much more sturdy terrain. Oh well, we just went with it and had no idea at the time anyways. It was pretty much like walking through a forest with uneven pavement that was sandy and rocky. I slipped once, but caught myself quickly before real damage could take place.

Anyhow, I'm glad we brought Zoë's blanket with us. We used it to lay out so we can hang out and design our lanterns.

Zoë was super excited and started taking all the pieces out right when we dropped everything.

I helped her get situated and she began to draw on her lantern.

Then, Daddy jumped in and started designing his.

And then, Mommy too!

Zoë ended up wanting to color mine in after I drew whatever she requested.

Once all our lanterns were all pretty, it was time to assemble them.

Tada! Our lanterns!

Here's a view of the pretty lake that will soon be filled with our beautiful lanterns.

And here's a close up of our lanterns.

It was almost time for the launch, so we lit our lanterns up.

And then it was launch time! We waited until a bunch of people launched there's first.

And then, we launched ours! There were a few piers to launch lanterns off of, but they couldn't fit that many people on them so the line was way long. We decided to launch off the shoreline instead. Biiiiig mistake. We tried our best to get a non-muddy spot, but even then, it was still pretty muddy. My foot literally sank in. Hahaha. And then Zoë's feet sunk in too and she freaked out a bit. At least we both wore slippers. Me and her launched ours at the same time. Jeric didn't want to get his shoes all muddy, so he gave Zoë his to launch. She didn't want to sink again, so she totally just tossed his into the water and walked away. Hahahahahahaha. It was good though. Check out our floating lanterns.

We all had a ton of fun, but we'd probably rather do Rise again instead. It's just so much more amazing.
