Hectic Day, But Full of Fun

Finally taking my car to get fixed this morning. When I turn AC on it smells like burning plastic. Jeric had this in the BMW and it turned out to be an oil leak costing $1,200 to fix. Yikes!

When I took my car in at 8:30 am, I couldn't get the vents to smell. The mechanic even had me drive it around for awhile with the AC on to see if the smell would appear, but it didn't. So he said it was probably a small oil spill and not a leak. If it happens again, he said to check if the smell is internal only or if I can also smell it outside around my car. Outside is most likely a leak, but inside might be an electric issue and he said if that's the case, stop driving it immediately and take it in. Other than than, nothing else he can do without the actual issue showing up. That's trustworthy at least. He didn't try to say, ohhh, it's this, this and this and then have me fix something that isn't an actual problem.

Since I was already out and about and my car was good to go, I decided to get an oil change.

By then, Dustin tried to FaceTime Zoë to see if she wanted to go to Sea World. But she was still at home. I told them that it sounds like a plan, but I'd check with Zoë first.

When I got home, Zoë was still sleeping. I ended up waking her up to see if she wanted to go to Sea World. She got up and got ready real quick! Buuuut, bummer, it got cancelled. Ray wasn't feeling good.

To keep Zoë from getting super bummed out, I said we could take her to the park today. That lifted her spirits a whole bunch. I told her we had to wait for Daddy to come home first. But then, when Jeric got home he said it was waaaay too hot outside.

So instead, I took her to Chuck E' Cheese while Jeric went to work on the condo. Zoë was excited for this idea too and thank goodness she's fine with having plans change constantly.

We stayed at Chuck E' Cheese for an hour. They have timed cards now, where you can pay for a set amount of time and have unlimited game play. Definitely worth it!

Zoë had tons of fun and was all over the place.

And at the end, she earned herself almost 900 tickets!

She even got to meet Chuck 'E Cheese right before we headed out.

All this fun sure worked up an appetite and baby girl requested Souplantation! Hahaha. By then, Jeric was hungry too, so he met us at home and we all went to go eat.

Meanwhile, the Amurao's came over a little earlier than expected. They made plans to come by later tonight for the Pumpkin Patch. Dustin actually FaceTimed Zoë while she was at Chuck E' Cheese. Hahaha.

Anyhow, they waited for us to finish our late lunch since they didn't wanna join us and then when we got back, we all got ready for the Pumpkin Patch.

We ended up going to this one out near Brea Mall called Enchanted Pumpkin Patch. It looked big on their website, but it actually wasn't as big as other parking lot ones. Oh well, the kiddos still had fun!

We paid $25 each for 15 tickets for each kiddo.

Dustin picked this slanted cruise ship slide as the first attraction to go on and Zoë was excited too.

It was 3 tickets for 5 min, which is basically the norm for all attractions. Dustin totally ran in there and went straight up to slide, leaving Zoë behind. Hahaha. Meanwhile, we had barely taken Zoë shoes off and put her down when Dustin came flying down the slide. LOL. Boys will be boys! Unfortunately, the stairs to get up to the slide were within a dark tunnel and Zoë was not having it. She sat right at the entrance to the tunnel and was like, hell no! Hahahaha. Denise tried to get Dustin to go up with her so she had company, but when he tried to take her hand and walk up, she pulled back. Then, Denise went in there and tried shining her flashlight to give her room. Nope.. still not gonna happen. So we asked the worker if we can take her to another attraction instead without having to lose 3 tickets. They were super chill about it and let her switch attractions. They were actually pretty chill on all the attractions as far as how long the kiddos played in there.

The one next to the cruise ship slide was a bouncy house castle with a slide on the side.

No one was in there at all, so Zoë went in there and jumped a bit. But then, a little boy came in and wanted to play with Zoë. He was bouncing next to her and kinda too close for her comfort, so she ended up just sitting there. She definitely hated that he was bouncing around near her. I had to go up to the bounce house and coax her a bit. Eventually, the kiddo left her space, but then another little girl and her bigger sister came in and Zoë was not having it again. I kept convincing her that she was fine though and to just bounce around and have fun. Luckily, she eventually got over her fear and started jumping. She even went down the slide!

Next up, we took the kiddos over to the HUGE slides because Dustin wanted to go on it. Man, boys really have NO FEAR! Zoë looked at how high it was and was like, forget that! Dustin paid his tickets and ran up real fast and then came down even faster! We didn't even know he was coming down! Lol. He liked it though and wanted to go down again. This time, we told him to call us when he was ready. He did take his time much more this round and we were all waiting around like, where is he? We tried bending our heads down to see if we can see up there, but nope, that slide was waaaaay high up there. And then, we saw him! He came down so fast and totally scorpioned it! Oh em gee! ROFL! Thankfully, he didn't get hurt at all. Hahaha.

Now it was time to get the kiddos to drive tractors. They had these really cute tractors that are like power-wheels that the kiddos drive themselves. We had the dads go out there with the kiddos just in case they had a hard time or got stuck. Zoë got the hang of it pretty fast. Dustin was also able to drive his, but he would never look forward to see where he was actually steering. He kept looking sideways at Denise or at the decorations. Lol! He even kept wanting to stop and get out and grab the deco. There were a few times where Zoë almost bumped into Dustin. Hahaha. She even kept cutting him off real bad and then blocking him off from moving forward. Pwahahaha. There were a few times too where she cut the corner too much and didn't adjust her steering wheel back and ended up running right into the hay bales. At first, Jeric would just lift it up and turn it so she was straight again, but eventually, he taught her how to reverse and she even attempted it a few times. Cute!

We then took them over to this bouncy obstacle course. They were actually competitive and it was hilarious! We couldn't really see them all the way in there, but boy did we see them when they came flying over the hurdle, through the hole and out onto the ground. Dustin literally fell out a few times onto the ground! Hahaha. And they both kept tossing their bodies like crazy over the hurdle. It was so cute and funny. Zoë would even fall flat on her face at the beginning of the course. It was just a flat bouncy floor with bouncy pillars you weaved through. Turns out that a portion of the floor was probably soft and whenever she tried to run in that area, she'd just flop right onto her face. Hahahahaha.

When they finally tired of the obstacle course, going well over the 5 minutes of allotted time they were given, we took them over to the shooting range so they can win prizes. The daddy's helped the kiddos aim and the kiddos took down all the zombies! Dustin came out with an inflatable shark and Zoë got herself an inflatable elephant.

We were almost done, but saw a bunch of pumpkins lying around so we attempted cute pics with the kiddos.

And a few of Zoë on her own.

By this time Dustin was all out of tickets, but Zoë still had 3 more. We saw that they had a baby chick petting area. It said 4 tickets though for 5 minutes. I figured it was worth a shot and asked the guy if he'd let her in just for a few pics with a baby chick, since we only had 3 tickets. He was all for it and said he'd even help us get some good photos.

Right when we walked in Zoë was so happy! She immediately went to all the baby chicks that were huddling together and reached out to pet them.

The guy came in after and picked up the first baby chick and handed it to Zoë while instructing her how to hold the baby chick. She listened and held the cute baby chick in her hands. She was so happy and not scared at all! The guy was actually amazed at how brave she was. Apparently all the other little kiddos were too scared. After snapping some photos, she put the baby chick down. The guy then offered to have her hold another chick for more pictures! This time, we picked a different colored chick and Zoë was more into it! She brought the chick a bit higher and turned him outwards so that he was facing forward for the picture! Hahaha. So cute!! And then, when I got my pics, Zoë totally dropped the baby chick! Whoopsie!!! We said sorry, but the guy was cool about it. Afterwards we asked Zoë why she dropped him and she said, "Because he was poking me." HaHaha!

And that was Zoë and Dustin's Adventure at the Pumpkin Patch!!
