Spur of the Moment Disney Trip

I had to take the day off of work today because the little one apparently dislocated her elbow! She's recently learned how to swing while holding onto Mommy and Daddy. And we knew better than to let her do this. We've heard the stories of dislocations and sprains and whatnot. Buuut, we've been allowing her to do it. Anyhow, last night, we were at Disneyland and while about to board Autopia, she swung on her arms. Of course she decided to hang first, while lifting her feet in the air, and then swinging. But that ended up making her twist, spin, and swing instead. All of sudden she started scream crying. Me and J didn't realize how severe it was too. We thought, just a minor injury and I tried to calm her down by carrying her. We even went as far as getting on the ride. She kind of calmed down, but she also never stopped holding her elbow and when I said she could steer the car, she wasn't able to hold onto it well and it caused her more pain. Poor baby. She ended up falling asleep while on the ride and we went home immediately.

I gave her Tylenol to assist with the pain and thought sleeping would help her. But, 4:00 am came and she was still in as much pain as when it happened. That's when I decided to take the day off and take her to the Dr.'s. I'm glad I did, because that's how we found out that it was dislocated! The Dr. had to pop it back in and I heard the pop. It caused her to scream immensely for a few minutes and she still didn't want to move her arm at all. She still nursed it with her other hand. But then, the Dr. left and came back with two stickers. He gave her one, which she took with the non-injured arm and then made her grab the second with the other arm. That's when Zoë realized, hey, I can move my arm again and it doesn't hurt! Hahaha. It's funny now, but I'm so glad that it was just a dislocation, which is so freaking common. Yah, we aren't letting her swing like that anymore at all.

Anyhow, since I already had the day off, I decided to take the cutie to Disneyland!

When we got there, she greeted Pluto with a hug and then was all weird. She squatted down in front of him, eventually sat on the floor and just sat there. Hahaha.

Of course, can't go to Disneyland without a visit with their Duckies!

And then we decided to grab us some Dole Whip!

I wanted to sit and enjoy our Dole Whip Float, so we headed over to where the Walt Statue is. I saw a cute photo opp, so I sat Zoë down and placed the Dole Whip Float next to her.

Of course, that gave her the perfect opportunity to grab a quick taste.

Then she hung around and I snapped this super cute photo of her.

We headed onto King Arthur's Carousel right after and when it ended, we caught a glimpse of Belle and Beast strolling around Fantasyland! Unfortunately, no stops for perfect photo ops, so I had to improvise.

Zoë wasn't impressed. Hahaha.

We then saw the awesome Disneyland Band walking toward the Carousel.

Apparently, they were all getting onto the Carousel and playing music during the ride. Pretty awesome! Such a bummer that it wasn't when we were on the ride though. Afterwards, Zoë wanted to jump onto Dumbo and she had a blast!

While walking around, we totally ran into these two lovelies...

Just a spoon full of sugar!

We were about to leave, but then I heard Marky and Liz were making there way over. Since it was super hot, me and Zoë decided to hang out in the Star Wars Launch Bay area to relax and cool off.

What a total bummer though. We just met up with Marky and Liz and headed over to Pizza Port to grab some din din and Marky carried Zoë while me and Liz grabbed some food. Right before we were about to pay for all the deliciousness, Zoë knocked out! Poor thing.

We all ate while Zoë slept and then Jeric texted us that he was coming to meet up too. Zoë was too heavy to carry for such a long period of time and I didn't have the bigger stroller with me. So, sadly, she was in her Mickey umbrella stroller, which didn't help keep her head up. Poor thing's head kept dropping forward. Sooooo, I had to jimmy rig something right quick while we all just chilled and waited for J to meet up. Don't judge! Hahaha. It's seriously not as bad as it looks.

Luckily, by the time J met up with us and our time was up to ride Nightmare Before Christmas, Zoë woke up! Right after the ride, we all headed home.
