Family Disney Dates

Wednesdays are our family Disneyland dates. Tonight, we got there pretty late. It was already 9pm by the time we got in the park. We just kept getting delayed by things that needed to be taken care of.

I had my pins, so I tried doing a few pin trades, but didn't really see a lot of pins I really wanted. We also rode a few rides. We rode Finding Nemo because Zoë was excited for it. We were supposed to ride Buzz Lightyear after, but since the park closes at 10, the ride was already closed out. We did see that the Astro Orbiter ride was still open though and that's one that me and J have never rode before. We seriously thought it would be just like Dumbo, boy were we wrong! It's a tad faster and the rockets are at an angle too, so it feels so weird when you shift from low to high and high to low. It made J super dizzy and I think the same thing happened with Zoë. Hahaha. J was just like, ugh, get me off of this thing. Zoë got slightly whiney, but she was enjoying it. Looks like that's the last time we're riding that one. Hahaha.

On the way out of the park we heard the announcement for the 10:15 pm showing of the Electric Parade, which we thought was weird since the park closes at 10. But then we thought, maybe it was a mistake because we were walking straight down Main Street on the way out. Least that's what we thought, but we were wrong. They were having the Electric Parade! Right near the end of Main Street they had it completely roped off so that we had to go to either the right sidewalk or the left. We also heard the Electric Parade and saw that it was starting and making its way from Main Street towards It's a Small World. We made the quick decision to go towards the left sidewalk, which was the perfect decision because we saw a spot to watch the parade in! I mean, we might as well enjoy it since we were there already and didn't have to fight for a good front row spot. Zoë absolutely loved it!
