First off, lemme give you some background. Zoë has yet to learn how to climb stairs. There's a few steps that lead down into the extended family room, which is now our bed room. Those steps also have a sliding door rail, so you can imagine how much that would hurt if Zoë fell onto it. Which is why I've blocked it off, like so, with a baby gate.
I can pretty much trust that Zoë is fine for a bit in our room. So from time to time, I run off to the bathroom if I need to and leave her to herself in our room. I can definitely trust that she'll stay in one place if I leave her with the iPad.
Well, today, she was on our bed with the iPad when I had to run off really quickly to use the bathroom. I've actually had to go for awhile, but she held me hostage.
Anyhow, while I was washing my hand, I could've sworn I heard Zoë. And so I rush and while rushing out I then hear Lolo Melencio talking. And to my surprise, I found Zoë in the living room over by the doggy gate talking to Lolo Melencio. Which was the cutest thing ever! Of course, I was glad she was okay and everything. But oh my! I must've not pulled hard enough for the baby gate to lock in place and she opened the gate, made it up two steps and proceeded over to calling Lolo Melencio for a quick chat.
