It was raining during the day today, but I checked the forecast and the rain wasn't coming tonight. Perfect time to hit up Disneyland!
We got the park at 9:30 pm, just in time for the fireworks. Not that we wanted to watch them though. We've seen them plenty enough and they don't hold Zoë's attention long. Unfortunately, we were forced to watch them because they closed off Fantasyland entirely.
See, she totally lost interest and wanted to walk.
Once the fireworks were done, we noticed they still weren't letting anyone into Fantasyland. I checked with one of the workers and he said they probably weren't going to open it up at all for the rest of the night. What?!?! Ugh. Well, looks like we must ride something else. Buzz Lightyear it is! While going through the line, Zoë totally said Buzz when we walked by the large Buzz Lightyear! I didn't even know she knew who he was.
After Buzz, we headed over to an information booth to see if Fantasyland was really still closed. Because it didn't make sense. The park close at midnight, why would they close Fantasyland for the rest of the night. Turns out that the other worker was pulling some crap outta his a**! They were only closed down for a few minutes to make sure that no embers or sparks were around Fantasyland from the fireworks. Woohoo! Off to Fantasyland!
Everyone was in line for the Electric Parade, plus there wasn't as many people as there normally are, probably due to the rain earlier in the day. Which totally makes it the perfect trip for us!
While walking towards Fantasyland, we passed by Alice and Wonderland and the Teacups and saw that they were both closed. Teacups makes sense, because the cups are probably full of water. Alice though, I heard that apparently they had a leak and water got in. At least, it lead to a really cute photo in front of Teacups!
Here we are, walking around good ol' Fantasyland and the place looks super empty! This is so freaking fantastic! The baby girl is pondering which ride to ride first.
First ride? One of Zoë's favorites, King Arthur's Carousel.
We also rode Peter Pan, Pinocchio and Snow White. Basically, 90% of the main Fantasyland rides. We stayed in the park 'til a bit after 11pm and it surprisingly wasn't nearly as cold as the time we went a few nights ago. I wish Disneyland was always like this.
