Zoë's New Teepee

Zoë got a new teep from Ninong Iban on her birthday and she asked us to build it for her today.

It's definitely a lot roomer than the one I made for her. Haha.

Zoë's TeePee

Finally got the TeePee all setup for baby girl. It wasn't as easy as I thought. Putting togeter PVC pipes wasn't really so bad. Buuut, I did use the floor to hammer the pipes in securely and when i was going HAM, I ended up jabbing my toe! That brought me to the floor for a couple of minutes. Hahaha.

Still, I continued on and got the rest of the poles together. Then, Jeric worked on spray painting them.

We left them out to dry, which was a bad idea because it was super hot. After having the TeePee up in our room, we started to notice that the paint fumes were pretty strong. We ended up leaving the poles in the living room after taking down her TeePee. It should be good again in a few days.

DIY Zoë's Teepee

I've wanted Zoë to have one of those modern cute freaking teepee's for quite sometime now. But I kind of also wanted to customize one for her. Sooo, I took the liberty to design one myself! I made the measurements of the small area that the teepee can be placed in and then crunched numbers and did calculations.

Now time to buy me all the material.

Got all the cloth in the colors I wanted, some rope to tie the poles with and some ribbon that I may or may not decorate with afterwards.

Now time to prep everything out!

And then cutting my pieces out...

Let's see how it measures against Zoë.

I think she'll fit once all four pieces are up.. if not she'll barely fit at least. Hahahaha.

Now time to get sewing!

And then more sewing. Even got into it and sewed hems to hide the ugly. Hahaha.

And the finished product along with some close-up deets. I even sewed some tie strings so that we can roll the doorway up and have it tied to the side.

Now, we just need to buy the poles from Home Depot, spray paint them, drill them and then her Teepee can finally stand!

When that's all done, I'll work on making little embellishments for her Teepee. The theme is stormy, so I plan on making a cloud pillow and some rain drop pillows and then a cute rain drop banner. Can't wait for it all to be complete!
