The Obstacle That is Our Bed

We have a huge bed and it sits about 2 - 2.5 feet off the floor. Which is pretty mighty high for Zoë. Luckily our bed frame sticks out and gives her a ledge a little more than half way down. She's actually known how to climb down from our bed for months now. She just grabs onto the comforter and gets a really good grip and slowly drops down to the ledge and then, like I thought her, while still holding on, she squats and puts one leg down until it touches the floor and then tada! She's down.

She has climbed up onto the ledge plenty of times too, but from there, she always calls for help for one of us to pick her up onto the bed.

Well, that's done now. Because she surprised me today! She got up on the ledge and called for me. But I said, go down and come around to the other side, since that's where I was. Normally, she would easily oblige, but not today! I was typing something up on my comp while waiting for her to walk around to my side of the bed when she came up next to me instead. I was like, oh em gee! And I just had to see it for myself. So I put her back down on the floor and asked her to come up.
