Spam Masubi... Sort Of

Was kinda craving spam masubi, so I tried looking up recipes online. Looks like it's pretty easy to make actually! Or so I thought. I found some recipe off the net that called for mirin, soy sauce and sugar. Honestly, I don't think we had mirin and forgot what I substituted it for. It also used a lot of sugar, which does make sense. Anyhow, the recipe said to marinate the spam into the soy sauce mixture for at least 15 minutes and then cook. I also didn't have nori or any other type of seaweed wrapper, so I just improvised and made a sort of deconstructed spam masubi, without the seaweed. Lol.

Honestly, i think the recipe I found was wrong. I think you're supposed to cook the spam first, heat all of the soy sauce mixture and then add in the spam and cook in the mixture. Who knows. It was still delicious though!
